Experience the BUCKEYE difference!
Buckeye Swim Club is a program that cares about our participants. We truly want each swimmer to come away from the program with a love for the sport. We do not overcrowd our lanes with swimmers - we DO personalize the program for each child. You will find a tremendous difference in the attention your swimmers receives and the detail in their coaching. Each swimmer is also able to choose their level of involvement based on their own schedule and goals.
Stroke Technique Based Instruction Our program starts all swimmers with a strong foundation of correct stroke technqiue. From there the coaches are able to build success. A solid stroke technique foundation will help get swimmers through awkward growth spurts and can help reduce the chance for overuse injury.
Gradual Increase in Training We believe in starting our swimmers with 2-3 hours a week of swim practices and very gradually increasing that each year. This is important to help our swimmers achieve continued succcess, and also helps prevent burn out and injury.
Pride in Work Ethic As our swimmers grow through the program we teach them to take pride in their efforts. This pride produces swimmers that seem to have no limits in future training potential. Becuase of this many of our swimmers go on to be very succesful not only in college swimming but in life!
Parents love Buckeye:
Hi Laurie,
I am sure you know how special you are but I need to express our complete appreciation and respect for a absolutely awesome and inspiring experience! You coach a billion kids I am sure but I can only speak for one kid and I can tell you his self confidence has sky rocketed! That was our most important goal when we started him in swimming. He exceeded our expectations and I think he found his sport. You have put together a great coaching team and swim club, and you will definetely see Riley again. This last mini meet was awesome, he took 1st in his heat for the 50 freestyle and 1st in his heat for 25 butterfly. His entire family is so proud of him!!!! Thank you, Thank you Coach Laurie and team!!

Winter 2009-2010 Facilities
(September through May)
The BKHY program offers a quality and fun competitive venue for Central Ohio youth swimmers. We currently offer swimming in 2 sites, Bellefontaine, & Columbus North. Each swimmer should pick their facility based on location and coaching staff. Each location offers a small team environment where swimmers can excel with individualized coaching style and a friendly team atmosphere. Below is a brief description of each location.

Columbus Sports Club, located in the Best Western Columbus North. This recently renovated facility is conveniently located at 161 & 71. The facility also offers the team the opportunity to utilize training rooms in addition to the pool.
The Ohio State University
The Bill & Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion is home to one of the best facilities in the country. This season we return to OSU to offer a small training program that can be a standalone program for younger swimmers or a complete program when practices are added at Aquatic Adventures or Columbus North.
Bellefontaine, Hilliker YMCA: Our YMCA affiliate is a wonderful facility located 45 minutes west of Columbus in Bellefontaine. The Hilliker YMCA is a member of the prestigious Southwest Ohio YMCA league, offering competition against Cincinnati & Dayton YMCA's that are some of the best YMCA programs in the country.
