 Buckeye Hilliker Swim Team & the Hoffman Pool
Are joining forces to form the 2009 BKHY Summer Swim Team
What: Summer Swim Team. Open to Logan and surrounding Counties
When: Kicks off with the optional Stroke Clinic (see below) May 1st. Officially begins June 1st, with practice offered 2 afternoons and 2 evenings each week. Swimmers will be asked to attend 2 - 3 practices weekly. Must know basic strokes and be able to swim one length of the pool.
Cost : $25.00. For this charter year only, if your child does not already have a Hilliker YMCA membership, a 6 week youth membership will be included in the fee. A Hoffman pool pass is also required ($40.00 for individual or $100.00 for a family pass).
Coaches : Current BKHY coaching staff, Head Coach Russ Jurg from Montreal, Canada and Coach Jolene Thompson from Johannesburg, South Africa , as well as Bellefontaine High School Head Coach Lori Salyer. They will be assisted by college students who are highly experienced swimmers and competitors.
Meets: Swimmers will be eligible to swim in both the 5-C meets and YMCA meets this summer.
Sign ups : Saturday Feb. 28th from 10am - 2pm. at Ohio High Point. If you miss sign ups you can register at the Parks and Rec. Dept., or email mazsmith@bright.net. There will not be a late fee. Additional information regarding BKHY can be obtained at www.bkhyswimteam.blogspot.com
STROKE CLINIC
What: Stroke Clinic, offered to any swimmer, age 6-18, who would like to improve their swim strokes.
Where: Offered at Hilliker YMCA pool. Sign up at the Hilliker YMCA.
When : Two classes per week for 4 weeks, beginning May 1st.
Fee: $40.00 for members and non-members. No late fee.
Coaches: Same as above.
