Driving Directions to Ohio Competition Swim Pools

Bowling Green State University

Located at the Bowling Green campus just south of Toledo off I-75.

From Columbus, take S.R. 23 north to S.R.15 west to I-75. Go north on I-75 to exit S.R. 181 West. This is called Wooster Street. Turn right onto Mercer Road and then left onto Merry Street.

Cleveland State University Natatorium

2451 Euclid Ave.  In downtown Cleveland at Euclid and East 24^th St

From Columbus: Follow I-71 north to East 22^nd Street exit (#172B). Turn left onto East 22^nd Street; drive four blocks to Euclid Avenue.  Turn right on Euclid Avenue. Pool will be on the left after going through one stop light.

Columbus Academy - North East Columbus

From I-270 on the Northwest side of Columbus, take the Morse Road exit going East. Approximately 1.5 miles on Morse road east of I-270 is Cherrybottom Road, turn right [going south]. The entry to Columbus Academy is about 1 mile down Cherrybottom on the left.

Indoor pool, six lanes by 25 yards. Ample seating along the length of the pool and elevated from the deck. Numerous 'B' meets are held her by GCSTO to help beginner swimmers get into the swing of things. These meets are one, long day, and have 25 yard events in addition to the normal USS line up of events.

Keating Natatorium - Cincinnati Area

From Columbus, take I-71 South to I-275. I-275 West to I-75 and then South on I-75. Go to exit 9 which is Paddock Road [Rt. 4]. Turn right at the exit then get to the left immediately as you will make a left turn to North Bend Road under the rail road trestle. Follow North Bend Road to the top of the hill which is about 1.5 miles. St. Xavier High School is to the right of the road and the Natatorium is behind the school.

This is an indoor 50 meter pool which can be divided into two 25 yard pools with 6 lanes each. There is ample seating but it can get quite warm inside, especially during the summer meets!

Miami University - Oxford Ohio

From Columbus take I-70 West towards Indiana. At about mile marker 11, exit onto State Route 127 towards Eaton [south]. In Eaton, take State Route 732 all the way into Oxford. When you get into Oxford, 732 becomes Main street. Turn left on High Street in the town square. Then turn right on Campus Ave. The natatorium is located on the left about four blocks down Campus Ave.This pool is simply lovely. 50m by 25y with ample seating for USS meets. Seating is located at one end of the 50m pool and along the diving well.

Hotel reservations can be a problem though as this town is small and there are not many hotels in the near by area. Driving time from Columbus is 2 - 3 hours.

Mingo Park Swimming Pool - Deleware, OH

Site of Annual Mike Peppe Meet.

From Columbus, take SR 23 north to Deleware. Use the Williams Street [Routes 36 and 37] exit. Turn left [west] on Williams Street. Go about two blocks to N. Union Street and turn right. [Option, can go another block west to N. Sandusky and turn right]. About a mile north is Lincoln Street, turn right and follow Lincoln until it ends at the pool parking lot.

This is an outdoor recreational pool with minimal seating available. Bring you own chairs. Normally the Mike Peppe meet is held in July and it can get very warm sitting at the pool all day. Lots of drinking water, an umbrella to shield the sun, and sun screen are recommended. This meet is typically a prelim-finals format and in the past has been run very well. National 'A' times are required to qualify to swim events which are mostly distance.

From Dublin, 315 South

• Exit at Kinnear Road

• Turn left and at first light turn left onto Olentangy River Road
• Turn right at next light on to John Herrick Drive
• Turn right at next light onto Cannon Drive
• Turn left at light onto 12 th Avenue
• At light turn left onto Neil Avenue
• Go through the next light and just past Campbell Hall turn left
• Follow the driveway back and enter the Neil Avenue Garage
• Exit the north side of the garage and proceed up the sidewalk along the Aquatic Pavilion to the Recreation and Physical Activity Center.
• Enter in the doors under the Bill & Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavillion sign (there will be a sign on the door stating restricted access)

Thomas Worthington High School

From 315 exit 161 east. Turn left at first light into the high school parking lot. Pool is on the right.

Upper Arlington High School
From Zollinger Rd. turn south onto Ridgeview. The pool & school are on the right.

· From the south: take 315 to Lane Ave. west (left onto Lane). Turn right onto North Star Rd. Turn left onto Zollinger .

· From the north: Riverside Dr. to Zollinger. OR take 315 to Ackerman Rd. west (right). Turn right onto Kenny Rd. Turn left at light onto Northwest. Turn left on Ridgeview.
